Explore the exotic flavors of this smoked salmon trout salad drizzled with a delicious homemade grenadilla vinaigrette.
The star of the salad: the salmon
Salmon is not only one of the most versatile ingredients in seafood, but also one of the most popular with many health benefits.
Since salmon contains such a high amount of omega-3 fatty acids, it contributes to our heart health. This includes strengthening heart muscles, lowering cholesterol levels, and maintaining elasticity of veins and arteries.
The rest of the salad ingredients will complement the salmon perfectly. And for a slightly surprising taste, this recipe calls for a touch of ground allspice. The warm spices of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves will certainly bring an unexpected but tasty touch of flavor.
Drizzle with pomegranate vinaigrette
To make this super tasty grenadilla vinaigrette, all you need to do is toss the ingredients together. However, it will need to emulsify, so be sure to add the olive oil slowly to the mixture so the ingredients don’t come apart.
The pomegranate, with the honey, will bring the perfect balance between freshness and sweetness to the vinaigrette which will marry wonderfully the flavors of the salad.
