A new take-out pop-up restaurant service opened on Thursday in the Skyline Room on the fourth floor of the Maison de la Faculté. Upon entering, students are immediately greeted by the smell of freshly cooked salmon and roasted root vegetables. With plush carpeting, natural light, and plenty of open spaces to mingle, the atmosphere of the Skyline Room is calm and welcoming. While the students are helping themselves, they overlook an aerial view of the neighborhood skyline.
Inspired by fan favorite meals at the John Jay Dining Room, the daily dishes served at Faculty House will include wild-caught Atlantic salmon, macaroni and cheese, and a vegan dish with various starches and vegetables on the side.
One of the highlights of the menu is home-made garden-fresh salads topped with carrots, cherry tomatoes, red peppers and cucumbers, served with honey mustard, balsamic or Italian dressing. . In addition, an assortment of fresh fruits and desserts will be available, including oranges and chewy chocolate chip cookies.
To access Faculty House, first head to the East Campus through the Wien Gate on 116th Street. From there, walk past Wien Hall and enter the Faculty House under the awning on the right. The pop-up restaurant will be open Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm Lunch is a meal in one go. Dining dollars, Flex cards and credit cards are also accepted.
